thrift shop project #5324

The adoption blogging world is quiet lately, so I had to break the silence and make a posting for my most recent thrift store find:
A wooden high chair, complete with removable tray! It needs some sanding and refinishing, but that's just another project to add to the distraction list. Maybe I'll monogram Borat's initials on it too...just maybe. :)
Oh, and we found out our dossier is now being translated. One (teensy tiny baby) step closer...

I love this high chair, it reminds me of the one my inlaws have for all the grandchildren, probably like 40 years old.

Looks like a great project Holly. I wish we had thrift stores around me. I'll probably have to get one of those plastic kind that anchors to my kitchen chairs. You going to refinish it dark or light?

Thank you! I haven't decided how i'm going to refinish it. My kitchen cabinets are light, but all the trimwork and flooring in our house is dark.

Maybe I'll use a colored stain, like red? That would be kind of fun!

i vote for red! ikea has wood stains that aren't a solid color, so it looks like a white washed red. that could be cool.

I vote for red, too. That would be cool! You will have to post a pic of it when you get it done.
