gone, gone, gone!

I finally got an answer about the dossier yesterday! It's officially on it's way to Uzbek. My agent will not give us a tracking number, because "in the past the families did use the trucking information in order to call the facilitator in the country directly asking him/her questions"

Hmmmmm, tricky. It's almost like he thinks we're crazy?!?

Anyway, I've written a poem to celebrate the dossier's journey:

Where have you been,
my sweet dossier?
you've been on my mind
every night and day

When will you arrive?
only Brown knows.
I feel so deprived—
your journey so slow.

Arrive there unscathed,
and translate in a fury,
So I can be ready again,
to wait....and then hurry.

yay!!! someday borat will know of all this craziness just to bring him to america.

so now that it's almost there, the next step is for them to call you with good news??

i didn't mean to write him. it could equally be a girl.

i just don't like writing 'it'.

Gratulations, having the dossier soon over in Uzbek is a big relieve. So now you are on board with all of us, who are waiting for the big day - referral day! Yeah!

Congrats on getting the dossier completed and on it's way. It generally takes about 3-4 days depending on the carrier used. I'd remind the agency that I was the client and they worked for me and therefore I was entitled to the tracking number so I could check. I've never heard of an agency not willing to be forthcoming with information that they are paid to provide.

You absolutely have a right to your tracking number. The agency can ask that you don't contact the facilitator directly, but you should already have their info from your power of attorney document anyway. I think it usually takes about a week to get there, most freight services don't have planes going to Tashkent every day and it all depends on how it is routed. We also had one family whose dossier was stuck in German customs for a week. Your dossier will probably be in for an adventure!
